Can you imagine being confident
all the time, all day every day? Imagine that every decision
you make is in total confidence. Is it safe to say that in
that frame of mind you would be much more successful at
anything you did? Yes, of course.
Any person who is at the top in
their field will tell you that confidence is the most
important key to success. Must have one to have the other.
This applies to anyone who wants to be top in his or her
field. To be the best you must have confidence.
Every top model in the world has it and so can you. Now would
you like to learn how simple it is to have all of this? Lets
find out...
First lets start with some
examples of what confidence is and is not. We will start with
what confidence is not:
Confidence is not:
- Running away from what your
mind tells you won't work
- Being concerned with others
opinions of you
- Listening to the words "You
can’t" or "I can't"
- Waiting for someone else to
try something before you do
Confidence is:
- Going right through what
ever your mind tells you won't work
- Doing what you believe in no
matter what anyone says
- Hearing the words "you
can't" and feeling sorry for whoever said them
- Being willing to try
something new even though everyone else says it won't work
or it is stupid
In order to gain more
confidence you must first realize that it is not something
outside your self, but it has been inside you, waiting to be
developed, since you were born. It is a skill that can easily
be developed, by anyone, and with little effort, just
focus. There are two methods for developing confidence which I
have found are extremely effective. The first method is
PRACTICE and the second is AFFIRMATIONS.
PRACTICE:
If you want to improve at any skill, what do you have to do?
PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. Whether you are learning how to
walk down a runway or learning a new sport. It is essential to
practice. And what does practice do? Practice creates habits.
So what happens if you practice being confident? It becomes a
habit!
How to practice confidence
To practice confidence is
simple. All you do is: whenever you have a spare moment when
no one is around, just be confident. Stand or sit up strait,
walk around your room confidently or say something confident
to yourself. Make yourself feel extremely confident. As if
you’re a king or a great ruler. It is best to do this alone at
first. If you are by yourself, how is it possible for anything
to intimidate you? Once you are comfortable by yourself then
begin to practice it all the time and eventually you will
forget that you are practicing and you will have actually
become confident! It will be a habit and will be natural for
you in any situation. Every moment of your life you will be
confident because it has became an ingrained habit!
AFFIRMATIONS:
Affirmations are basically any statement you want your
subconscious mind to believe. Repeat, what you want to
achieve, to yourself, until you actually believe it or come
very close too. The most effective way to use affirmations is
to simply repeat a supportive statement to yourself loud
enough that you can hear it. The most important part is that
when you say your affirmation, you say it like you mean it.
How to use affirmations
effectively
STEP 1: You must write
down your supportive statement. An example would be, "I am the
most powerful woman in the universe". I don't actually believe
that 100% but I do believe it about 10% and 10% of the
universe still leaves me feeling pretty confident. If you find
that starting a little smaller like saying, "I am extremely
confident”, then you can keep on working your way up. Also
avoid affirmations that have time limits such as, "I am
confident today" because you are telling your subconscious
that you are only confident today and not tomorrow or the next
day.
STEP 2: Now that you
have your statement, simply repeat it to yourself aloud as
many times as possible. Do an affirmation for at least 1
minute at a time as many times a day as I possible. It is very
effective to repeat it to yourself until you fall asleep. And
if you find that you don’t like saying these affirmations
aloud, then write them down 50-100 times in a row. Once you
finally get to the point that your statement has come true,
just make a new statement. It can take anywhere from one week
to a few months until your statement comes true. Keep on doing
it because every time you say your affirmation it becomes
closer to becoming reality. Keep this in mind It doesn't
matter if anyone else believes your statement to be true. Your
success is not dependent on what other people think. It is
only dependent on you. There is not one person that will
believe you are the most powerful woman in the universe. Do
you think you should care? NO!!!
Points to remember:
Confidence is quite possibly
the most important aspect of becoming a successful model. So,
to summarize you must PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, and
continually have affirmations in order to bring your
confidence levels through the roof. Now that you have
confidence by your side nothing can stand in your way!“ In
order to gain more confidence you must first realize that it
is not something outside yourself, but it has been inside you
waiting to be developed since you were born” This statement is
key, as it is so true. Once you look at confidence as
something inside you it will change everything.
The highest levels of
confidence possible are already inside us. We just need to
believe it and release it. As you are getting more confident
you are really just releasing more and more of your own
confidence. Do the exercises and change your view of what
confidence is and you will begin to change your entire life.
You we be a completely different person. Unshakable!
“Confidence is being willing to try something new even though
every one else says it won’t work or its stupid”. A lot of you
are going to be telling people that you want to be a model.
Sorry to say, but a lot of you are going to laughed at! People
will say it won’t work and its to hard. Blah, blah, blah!
These people are called dream crushers. Don’t worry, don’t let
it get to you. Always remember that these people will never do
what they really dream of doing because they are too afraid of
failure. When your face is in every magazine they pick up then
you will see who’s laughing. Take their criticisms and turn it
into your fuel and motivation.
“Affirmations are basically any
statement you want your sub-conscious to believe” Please don’t
think that this is crazy talk. Its not! Your sub conscious is
what determines how far you will make it in anything. If deep
down you don’t believe that you can be a model… then you
can’t! Don’t worry though; you can reprogram your subconscious
quite easily. All it takes is a little time. If you aren’t
confident it’s because your sub-conscious says you aren’t. If
you want to change that you must do affirmations.
So please do all the exercises
described on this page. Find which method works best for you
and stick with it until you are as confident as possible.
